Jacob George is a freelance digital designer specialising in web design and branding. He is based in Florence, Italy and London, UK.
Passion for design
After studying at Kingston School of Art in London, I landed a job as graphic designer, creating print and digital media for various restaurant groups around the UK and Ireland. My life took a dramatic change after decided to move away from UK to Italy. In Milan, I worked as a digital designer for a creative digital agency where I developed my practice as a web designer.
My freelance career started as a side gig to learn more and develop my practice. Soon after, I decided to make the move permanent. Now I am creating beautiful reliable websites for various clients. I'm always excited to take on challenges and I strive for perfection in my designs.
How I do
Sometimes business brings stress. I work hard to create your digital communication easy to understand and effective for your users. One less thing to worry about.
Audience in mind
Probably the most important ideology for a designer to follow. Whether it's a large scale website or a simple social media post. I always design with the audience in mind.
Digital design is forever changing and at a rapid pace. I update my practices frequently by following design trends and the latest softwares.
Enjoy the work
It's important to love what you do. I love chasing the gratitude of each client, big or small. It keeps me focussed and motivated.
Each project is unique with its own particular needs. However there are always frequently asked questions I get asked. Have a look below at some of them.
Can I edit the websites myself?
Yes! This is one of the points that makes me stand out from the crowd. The software I use makes it easy for you or your team to make constant changes to the website. Blog posts, image uploads, text edits become are simple and quick. I also include small tutorial sessions for you and your team within the price of the website.
How much do you charge?
Most of the projects I work on start from €/£ 3000 and go up to €/£ 10.000. This depends on your needs, the design and the functionality.
Who owns the website?
You. I don’t own anything of the website. If you want I can give you full admin rights, so you can even delete me as you want. You pay for the website, so it’s your property. The only thing I would ask is to be able to showcase your website on my portfolio.
How long does it take to build a website?
Approximately 1 month for a the first draft. Then after that it takes about two weeks of smaller changes until you're ready to go live!
